In the short time since taking office, Donald Trump has unequivocally proven that he is unfit to be President of the United States. There are already plenty of grounds to impeach Trump, and one survey by Public Policy Polling shows that 40 percent of voters already want to impeach him.
The strongest basis for impeachment is Trump’s violations of the foreign emoluments clause, but with just a few days into his presidency, there are also questions of serious conflicts of Interest and the Trump team’s possible ties to Russia.
While it is true that it is unlikely that a Republican-dominated Congress will actually impeach Trump, it becomes a very real possibility with a Democratic majority in Congress after the 2018 elections.
However, given Trump’s outrageous actions and the historic plunge in popular support for his presidency, there may be a growing number of Republicans that could be more receptive to the idea of impeaching Trump before 2018.
We are devising a plan of action for what individuals can begin to implement now in order to get Trump impeached as soon as possible. This is an evolving plan that will change, and any suggestions are welcome.
The effort to impeach Trump starts now:
There are two general stages in the process to remove a president from office: (1) the House of Representatives must pass articles of impeachment by a simple majority and (2) two thirds of the Senate must vote to convict and remove the president.
It is unlikely that a Republican Congress will impeach Donald Trump. To remove Trump from office, Democrats will have to achieve a resounding victory in the 2018 elections. The fight begins today.

I am calling to urge Representative (NAME OF REPRESENTATIVE) to call on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee to investigate Donald Trump’s financial arrangements, potential conflicts of interest, and violations of the foreign emoluments clause of the U.S. Constitution. Voters deserve an investigation into these matters and this issue is a determining factor in how I will vote in the future. I’m paying close attention to what (Senator/Representative (NAME)) does regarding an investigation.
