Trump and the brothers Atul and Sagar Chordia are partners in Trump-branded luxury condominium towers in Pune, an industrial city about 90 miles south of Mumbai. On Monday, November 14, 2016, less than a week after Trump won the election, Argentine President Mauricio Macri telephoned Trump to congratulate him on his victory. According to Argentinean journalist Jorge Lanata, quoted in the newspaper La Nación, Trump asked Macri to expedite the issuance of permits that were holding up a Trump-branded office building project in Buenos Aires. Read more…

Donald Trump held his annual New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago, with tickets to drinks, dinner and dancing selling for $525 for members and $575 for guests, according to Politico. Jared Kushner Named Senior Advisor

January 9, 2017

On January 9, 2017, Trump announced that his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, will take on the role of senior advisor to the president. Kushner will not take a salary and will reportedly sell many of his assets. The Trump transition team claims that the appointment will not run afoul of anti-nepotism laws, particularly 5 U.S. Code § 3110, known as the 1967 anti-nepotism law. Read more…
